Status as of Monday Morning

No sightings called in all day yesterday, Sunday. And the feeding station hadn't been touched. So it was a tough day to get through, thinking about Tundie out there alone and confused and cold, and with food harder to come by due to the snow.

But today is another day, and a search group is meeting at noon at Herndon Middle School to search for him and put up more posters (after first a stop at the police station to see if Tundie has been around there). Can you join us?

We are having the Observer help spread the word with an ad coming out today or tomorrow. But the frustrating thing about that now is that the door to door delivery is going to be difficult with the roads in the mess they are in. Even the Post isn't being delivered yet so we're worried that the Observer won't either.

We are keeping Laura Totis in mind, with her dog that is trained to trail the scent of lost pets. When there are a lot of sightings to tell us that Tundie is around, we can hold off on having her come. It's when there haven't been sightings and we don't know if he's still close to the area that we need that kind of help. And the snow and lack of a starting point are show stoppers. But we are ready to call on her if conditions are right. Our wish, though, is that we won't need her.

Off to search now. Please keep spreading the word, and help us bring Tundie home!

  1. I was able to do a little postering this evening despite the snow obstacles including the Chandon Dog Park.

  2. Fantastic, Kathy! This will get rolled onto Tundie's map. Keep up the good work! We're excited about the sighting from late yesterday!

  3. Where was the sighting? I live and walk my dog all over this town so I can help look.
